Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Four-Thirty in the Afternoon

Please arrive between 4:00 and 4:15pm for the 4:30pm ceremony. Light refreshments will be available before the ceremony. Attire is Black-Tie Optional. Think suits or tux, gowns, a midi or ankle-length dress, or an elegant jumpsuit. <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/courtmariemiller/wedding-attire-inspiration/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Find inspiration here</a>. That said, what we care about most is that you feel comfortable and confident in whatever you choose to wear. The wedding ceremony will be outdoors, so please prepare for the weather accordingly, Carmel can be chilly even in August. The ceremony will also be held on grass, so keep that in mind if it influences your shoe selection. Cocktail hour, dinner and dancing to follow the ceremony at Mission Ranch.

While our room block is at Carmel Mission Inn we wanted to recommend a few other favorites in the area: <a href="https://www.carmelbayviewinn.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Carmel Bay View Inn</a> - A great affordable option in downtown Carmel. While the rooms are simple, they are always clean and comfortable. This location is a 30 minute walk to the venue, 5 minutes driving. <a href="https://villamaracarmel.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Villa Mara Carmel</a> - A charming luxury option just a 12-min walk from the venue, and 25-mins walking to downtown.

Airports

Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) is the closest airport as it is about a 15 min drive to Carmel. However, it is a small regional airport so it can be more difficult to find the right itinerary. If you choose to fly into MRY, Ubers and Lyfts are generally available but you may have a longer wait, especially if you arrive late at night. MRY does options for rental cars, too, if you prefer that.&nbsp; San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) is the closest international airport and is located about 1.5 hours from Carmel. If you choose to fly into San Jose, there are a few options to get to Carmel. You can rent a car, or you can book a shuttle through <a href="https://groometransportation.com/monterey/?&amp;sd_client_id=b42b91f3-27c4-4879-bb9f-ddb648459d1a" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Groome Transportation</a> which will pick you up directly at SJC and bring you to downtown Monterey, where you can catch a short Uber or Lyft to your hotel.

Hotel & Travel

Point Lobos is an awesome hiking destination a short drive from Carmel -- we love the long, but flat <a href="https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/point-lobos-loop-trail" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">~6-mile loop</a> around the park, but its an equally great spot for a quick photo op or short walk on pavement. There are lots of accessible options!

Courtney’s favorite restaurant, located in downtown Carmel, Casanova is know known for its warm, romantic atmosphere and exceptional French–Italian cuisine. We highly recommend getting a table on the patio, surrounded by greenery and twinkling lights.

Just a 10 minute drive from downtown Carmel, The Refuge is a spa retreat with thermal pools, cold plunges, cedar saunas, and peaceful mountain views. Eddie and I love relaxing outside around their fire pits after a massage! It’s the perfect place to recharge before or after the wedding festivities.
